Attalla Burglary Arrests

Attalla police were able to arrest two men on charges of burglary and theft after a woman used her vehicle to block them from leaving a house they’d burglarized.  Police said the woman owned the property on Fifth Avenue but didn’t live there. A neighbor to the residence called the woman and told her he saw some men going in the house and he didn’t believe they had permission to be there. The woman went over and confronted them, blocking them in with her vehicle while police responded.  39 year old Jason Scott Gaskin,  of Boaz, and 44 year old Michael Lamar Williams, of Boaz, have been charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft. They remain in the Etowah County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.

Police said pots and pans and other items had been taken from the house and loaded in their vehicle in the Tuesday midday burglary.
