Clay county murder victim identified

Jolee Callan

Funeral services are set for This morning for a Shelby County teenager deputies say was murdered on the Pinhoti Trail in the Cheaha Wilderness in Clay County.
Court records list 18 year old  Jolee Callan, of Vincent, as the victim. Twenty-year-old Loren Bunner, also of Vincent, has been arrested and charged with murder in her death. At last check, Bunner was being held on a $150,000 bond in the Clay County Detention Center.  The original news release from the Clay County Sheriff's Office didn't mention the victim's name. It said the victim was found on the Pinhoti Trail just outside Cheaha State Park. The crime scene was near the county line of Clay and Cleburne counties.
Oxford Police Captain L. G. Owens, however, says Bunner apparently pulled of I-20 at exit 179, the Coldwater exit. That's where Owens says Bunner called 911 and wanted to discuss a situation involving his girlfriend.
Jolee Callan was a 2015 graduate of Vincent High School.
