Anniston police investigating theft

Anniston police are investigating a theft of more than $3,000 from an Anniston rent-to-own business.  According to police, an employee at Best Way on McClellan Blvd. is suspected of stealing from the business. The theft occurred between June 21 and June 24th.  Police said the company’s corporate office noticed there were three deposits that should have been made totaling $3,338. The business reported the theft to police on Tuesday.  Police say they are following leads on a suspect who no longer works at the store.  Any suspect could face charges of felony first-degree theft.
