Gadsden EMA director named to state board

Gadsden, Etowah county EMA director Mike Bryant  has been elected to the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers Board of Directors.  Bryant was elected to represent Region 7, which includes, Etowah, Calhoun, Clay, Cleburne, Jefferson, St. Clair and Talladega counties.  The group partners with the Association of County Commissions of Alabama and the Alabama Emergency Management Agency in promoting whole-community emergency planning, response, recovery and mitigation, which includes training and exercises, public safety education, public alert notification processes, hazardous materials response, evacuation coordination and more.
