Woman runs over husband

Anniston Police say a 65 year old Wadley man was killed when his wife  backed over on July 4^th as the couple was gathering food for a charity basketball game to help pay funeral expenses for a relative who recently died of leukemia.

Police say the couple was on Golden Springs Road, just inside the  Anniston city limits when the accident occurred.  The man,  identified as 65-year-old Joaquin Allende, who lived in the Randolph County town of Wadley was killed in the accident.

Calhoun County coroner Pat Brown says he believes the death was an accident.
